All art is artificial, the product of the painters’ skill and imagination. To pretend otherwise is artificial. -Edgar Degas

577-'Novo Mesto', Slovenia. Painting by Wayne Shilson Premier Pointillist Painter USA 2022. The Painting of flowers in the landscape- It adds a little color, warmth, and evidence that a human presence was there to drop or put the flowers. Now you think or ask why? The painting becomes more than a beautiful landscape of Novo Mesto, Slovenia but, now the landscape becomes a story. Something I try to do in all of my paintings is to create a narrative.

601-'Farewell letter' is My take on Vincent Van Gogh's last painting 'Roots'. It shows the roots of what is left from the

initial Vincent van Gogh painting of 1890. Title 'Farewell letter' was used to describe 'Roots' painting by Great-grandson of Theo Van Gogh, Vincent van Gogh's brother- "Maybe you can say that he was working on his farewell letter"
Wouter van der Veen, a researcher in France- “Ending his life with this painting makes so much sense,” he said. “The painting illustrates the struggle of life and a struggle with death. That’s what he leaves behind. It is a farewell note in colors.”

Don't conflate/confuse one from the other Divisionism and Pointillism- My style is the Pointillism stippling technique, and it is how I paint using points, dots, and dabs of paint to stipple on canvas. I don't use Seurat's Divisionism color fragmentation optical technique. To time-consuming. Pointillist painters such as Paul Signac, French Neo-Impressionist, and Camille Pissarro, French Impressionist, found it was too slow of a process using the Divisionism technique proposed by Seurat.  I have painted in the style of Pointillism- dots, dabs, and points of paint on stretched canvas for over 57 years.
